Small reprieve is a short writ of pardon with a guild seal at the foot. It is a lesser work, drawn up in a Guild with the method of Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies. It holds no Seal-shard, it is Plain, and it is spent once it is read.
Read it in your own kingdom and the newest hostile enchantment laid on that kingdom lifts. It works even on enchantments that ordinary dispelling cannot touch.
Rivals cannot carry the writ off, by theft or as plunder. A kingdom may hold only a few at a time, and the card shows the limit.
Sealborn compare it to the counter, the grudge repaid that Aefenna, the Lamplighter added to the Law of Equals. The counter answers a wrong by striking outward. The reprieve answers it inward, by undoing the newest harm first. It has no treasure spirit and no hunger.
