Storm javelin is a long iron-shod javelin that hums when the air is dry. It is a lesser work, forged in a Guild with the method of Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies. It holds no Seal-shard, it is Plain, and it is spent in a single throw.
It is the work its side brings to the fight. Before the armies meet, it is thrown, and lightning strikes every enemy company. For the rest of that battle the enemy's blows land more weakly when they strike back. The card shows the harm. A kingdom trained in Sunward Hand gets more out of every throw, its cultivators say.
The artisans say a storm is bound into the shaft at the making, and the throw lets it out all at once. The Sealborn argue over whose storm it is. Cultivators of Pyre, the affinity of fire and war, claim it. Cultivators of Lumen answer that lightning is only light that has lost its temper.
The javelin has no treasure spirit and no hunger. Its only cost is the ordinary one.
