The Ash Furrow is a spell of Pyre, the affinity of fire, destruction and war, and one of the five oldest spells. It is older than the Scar. Its age does not lift it above the ring: a core of another affinity reaches it only as far as the ring allows. In the pinned ruleset it can be cast.
Cast on another kingdom, it tears open a furrow through that kingdom's stores and drains its mana. The fuller the caster's own store, the deeper the blow, and it drains less from a core of another affinity. The card shows how much. The blow lands fullest on a kingdom of the caster's own Weight, weaker the further apart they stand, and not at all when they are far apart.
The price is total. Sealborn of Pyre say the furrow is ploughed with the caster's own store, and every drop of the caster's mana goes into the ground with the blow. On the ring, ash nourishes growth; this furrow is sown with ash.
