Summon cinder hound is a calling of Pyre, the affinity of fire, destruction and war. It brings a pack of Cinder hound into its caster's own kingdom.
Beasts are among the affinity-born, native life that grows where an affinity runs strong. Sealborn of Pyre say these hounds den in the embers of that affinity's hottest ground and follow any shard that smells of the same fire. The calling is slow. It takes several turns to reach the pack and bring it home, and it costs mana as well. Cast against the grain, fewer come. A deeper realm brings more, and the unit's own card sets its keep. Research presses the calling into a Seal-shard, and a returning Sealborn must recover it after each recasting.
Guild artisans tie the calling to the Age of the First Sealborn. In the devouring, great kingdoms set these packs loose along the borders of small ones, to harry them before the main army came. Daegred, the Sunward ended that hunt with the Law of Equals. The hounds now run only against equals.
