Summon serpent queen is a complex summoning of Lumen, the affinity of order, law, light and protection that Daegred, the Sunward holds. It calls Serpent queen to serve the caster's own kingdom; it cannot be cast into anyone else's. The call is long and dear, held open over several turns until the shape answers.
Newcomers are often surprised to find serpents answering a call of light. Lumen cultivators answer with the ring of affinities. Growth orders itself, so Bloom feeds Lumen, and neighbouring affinities blend. They say the serpent queens are Bloom's gift to Lumen: living coils of growth that learned to hold a law.
More answer as the caster's realm deepens; the card shows how many. A core of another affinity calls them at greater cost, with more failure and fewer answering. Every Turning a Sealborn must recover the spell by research. A Human lord cannot summon by casting at all.
