Hired tracker is a hunter of the Hallow who hunts people for pay. Hiring one costs geld and people, and the Barracks organise the contract. Like every drilled soldier, a Hired tracker is Plain and carries no affinity.
A tracker shoots from range, looses a second volley after the first and aims true. The card shows what each shot does.
The Sealborn tell where the trade began. In the Age of the First Sealborn, Aefenna, the Lamplighter added the counter to the Law of Equals, so that a recorded wrong could be answered beyond the ordinary range. The Sealborn say trackers were first hired to do that finding, and that they never lost the habit of reading a trail back to its source.
Upkeep is paid in geld, and unpaid soldiers desert. A Hired tracker can be sent home when the hunt is over.
