Pixie drake is the smallest of dragon-kind, affinity-born in meadows where Bloom runs strong. It is bright, quick and fragile, and it strikes with breath and power before almost anything else on the field can move. It flies, and it darts out of reach.
A kingdom recruits these little drakes through its Barracks, at a cost in geld, mana and people, and keeps them on geld and mana. They muster slowly, desert when unpaid, and can be sent home.
Their strangest gift is that spells of Pyre, Umbra and Reverie barely touch them. Umbra and Reverie lie across the ring from Bloom and repel it, so part of that is no surprise. That Pyre, Bloom's own neighbour, fails too puzzles cultivators. The usual answer is a saying: a creature this small survives only by being too green for any other affinity to hold.
