Grail chart is a lesser work: a stained chart that guild artisans copy in a Guild during the current Turning, by the method of Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies. It holds no Seal-shard and no hungry spirit. Many copies exist, and each is followed once; afterwards the lines no longer match the ground.
The chart claims to lead to the five sacred cups, the relic Sacred cup stained gold among them. A relic is a unique treasure that Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies preserves among the Mnemoliths across the Unsealings, and there is only one of each in a Turning. It can surface through guild work, the stationers or the antique trade, and if no one finds it, it stays in his keeping.
Most of the time the chart leads nowhere. It is a gamble, and it is used up whether it pays or not. Very rarely, it does not lie. What the relic asks of its holder is told on its own page.
The antique traders say every chart is a copy of a copy, and that whoever drew the first had seen the relic with their own eyes.
