On the ring of affinities, dreams die, so Reverie feeds Umbra. Alluring dreams lives on that seam. It is a battle spell of Umbra that works through dreaming, and the dreams it uses belong to the caster's own people.
Before the fighting, it calls Temptress fiend up out of the Deep to fight for the caster. The more people the kingdom holds, the more come. They stay for that battle only.
Then the bill comes. After the battle, the caster's kingdom is short of the people who paid for the creatures it called. The bargains of Deopa's creatures have always consumed people, and this one does it openly.
Ordinary folk in Umbra kingdoms tell it as a warning. On the night before such a battle, they say, the creatures come up wearing the folk's own dreams, and when they go back down, the dreamers follow them. Lords who cast this spell often find that their people sleep badly.
