Every one of the restless dead lives on borrowed life. Most borrow it quietly, from the kingdom that keeps them, and the kingdom only notices when its people thin. Summon blood drinker calls up the dead who do not borrow quietly: Blood drinker.
Ordinary folk say these are the dead who learned to take their borrowed life by mouth, from enemies as well as from the kingdom that keeps them. The Sealborn call that a story, but they do not argue with its moral. It is the lesson of Odrin Half-Core again. When he laid his affinity over the pressing dead in the Age of Odrin, the dead rose and his living folk faded. Every raising since has answered him, and every raising is paid for in people.
This is a long casting for a deep shard. A core of its own affinity calls the most; against the grain it calls fewer, and a deeper realm calls more. The card gives the rest.
