Firebird is fire that belongs to Bloom. A high summoning, Summon firebird, calls it out of the Welter, and Bloom, the affinity of growth, holds its shape. It flies above the field and bursts into flame among the enemy, and what is torn from it grows back before the battle ends. Fire cannot harm it.
Cultivators call it the ring of affinities in a single body. Ash nourishes growth, so Pyre feeds Bloom. The firebird is both at once: the fire that makes the ash, and the green the ash feeds.
Mana alone sustains it, and it drinks a great deal. Withdraw the mana and it goes out like a lamp. Its lord may do so at any time.
Weight counts armies, and a kingdom may strike, and be struck by, only kingdoms within reach of its own Weight.
