Gale spirit is a great elemental of wind and storm. A mage of Reverie casts Summon storm spirits, reaches into the Welter and draws out a shape of moving air, and this is one of the shapes that answer.
It is enormous and fast. It flies, hurls lightning from far off and then strikes with raw power. Lightning cannot hurt it, and blades and arrows pass through it with little effect.
The Welter can become anything, but it cannot keep a shape. Mana is what keeps this one. Its upkeep is paid in mana alone, and it is heavy. When the mana is withdrawn, the storm comes apart and is dismissed.
Reverie cultivators have a saying about it. A storm, they say, is a sky dreaming. And this storm, the biggest their affinity can call, is what Reverie dreams of when it dreams of the Scar opening wide.
