Ghost blade is a warrior of the astral peoples, who live where Lumen runs strong. A mage casts Summon ghost blade, and it steps into the kingdom already armed. Its upkeep is paid in geld and mana, and it is dismissed when the payment stops.
It fights with a blade that carries light. It lasts long in a hard fight, can turn a foe aside, and mends the wounds of those beside it. Against Deopa's creatures it strikes hardest of all.
Deopa's creatures are the shapes that belong to the Deep. Not all were ever native corpses. At the Breaking, some celestials went down into the Deep and became his.
Lumen cultivators say that is the reason for the blade's hatred. The celestials who went down were its kin, they say, and on the day Heaven's Gate tore the astral warriors swore to hunt them for as long as the Hallow is made again. Every Turning, the Hallow is. Every Turning, they hunt.
