Sea singer is one of the dream-folk, who live where Reverie runs strong. This one lives on the shore, between the water and the land. A mage casts Summon sea singer, and it walks up out of the surf to serve. Its upkeep is paid in mana, and it goes back to the sea when the mana stops.
It fights by singing. Its song strikes at the mind, and it can turn an enemy aside. Hand to hand it is weak, and it knows it.
Every foreign soul wakes in the Hallow remembering another life. Sealborn say the shore-singers know those lives too. On nights when Sealborn sleep near the water, the singers are said to listen to their dreams and learn the songs of other worlds. Then they sing them back.
Foreign souls who have heard one say it is the cruellest thing in battle: not the blow to the mind, but the moment of hearing, across a field in a strange world, a song from home.
