Stone sentinel is a made thing: winged stone, carved and set to watch. Like every construct it has its own costs. A kingdom recruits it through its Barracks for geld, a little mana and people, and keeps it on geld and a little mana afterwards. Its master can send it home.
Made things are Plain, but the card counts this one as Umbra. The guild artisans explain the difference this way: the stone is as Plain as any made thing, and its affinity lives in the watchfulness they bind into it. The mana it takes at recruitment and every turn keeps that binding awake.
It holds no old core. The artisans compare it to the workshop ox, Workshop ox, which copies a shape without the hunger of the relic it copies. The sentinel has no treasure spirit and nothing to feed but its keep.
It has no mind to stun or frighten. It flies over the line on stone wings.
