Throne seraph is the greatest of the celestial peoples who live where Lumen runs strong. A mage casts Summon throne seraph, and it comes down on the kingdom like morning over a field.
It flies. It strikes, and then strikes again with light, and it mends the wounds of the host beneath it. Mana holds it in the Hallow, and it drinks a great deal. When the mana is withdrawn, it is dismissed.
Heaven weighs every kingdom, and Weight counts armies. A host led by this celestial weighs heavily in that reckoning, which can bring the kingdom within reach of stronger rivals under the Law of Equals.
Lumen cultivators say it comes down only to kingdoms that keep that law, which Daegred, the Sunward cast in the Age of the First Sealborn when great kingdoms devoured small ones. They say it despises a lord who reaches beneath their own Weight. Its kin were not all so steadfast: at the Breaking, some celestials went down into the Deep.
