Wing drake is a lean drake of the Pyre cliffs, of dragon-kind and affinity-born where Pyre runs strong. It is smaller than the great drakes and has no fire. It flies in fast, drives a poisoned sting home, and rakes with its claws on the way out. Its scales turn most blows aside, and it is hard to wear down.
A Sealborn calls these drakes with Summon wing drake. Their keep is geld and mana, and their lord may release them back to the cliffs at will.
Pyre cultivators often set them beside Bloodkiln drake, which eats a kingdom's people to sustain its body. The lean drakes, they say, are what dragon-kind becomes when it lives on what it can catch instead. They are less terrible, and far less hungry. Many lords think that a fair trade.
