Bloodkiln drake is the greatest of Pyre's dragon-kind, affinity-born where Pyre runs strong. It flies, bites and then breathes fire, its scales turn most blows aside, and whole armies break at the sight of it. Only cold truly hurts it. It hates the elves above all. Pyre cultivators say that is because it knows the forest will grow from its ash.
A Sealborn calls it with Summon crimson drake, and pays for it in more than mana. The drake eats people. It is no corpse and none of the restless dead; it is a living body that stays alive by consuming the kingdom's folk, as Mindmaw consumes minds. Every lord who keeps one learns Odrin Half-Core's lesson in a new form: a power that feeds on your own people empties your fields.
It cannot be dismissed, and no shortage of geld or mana sets it free.
Its presence also weighs heavily. Weight counts armies, and under the Law of Equals, a lord who keeps this drake is reckoned among far greater kingdoms.
