Tangle mesh

Tangle mesh is a heavy net of knotted cord with stones sewn into its edges. It is a lesser work, knotted in a Guild with the method of Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies. It holds no Seal-shard, it is Plain, and it is ruined after one battle.

It is the work its side brings to the fight. Before the armies meet, it is thrown over one enemy company, selected by chance. That company is held on the ground, however it came to fly, and its place in the order of striking is shifted, as the card shows. The order of striking is a convention of battle.

Silk net is lighter and catches the whole enemy army, but it only slows them. The mesh catches one company and holds it down.

The artisans say the same guilds knot the mesh and weave Sky rug, and that each was made to answer the other: one lifts an army, and the other pulls a piece of it back down. The mesh has no treasure spirit and no hunger. Its only cost is the ordinary one.
