Genie flask is a relic, a unique treasure that Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies preserves among the Mnemoliths at every Unsealing. Stoppered inside is an old piece of Covenant-stuff, the substance of the Seal-shards, and its treasure spirit answers to Wefan, the Weaver.
Tellan records no maker. The unearthed tell a story of their own. The fire-folk are among the affinity-born, native people who live where Pyre runs strong. The traders say the flask's spirit was one of them before it was bound, and that the same unknown hand made Genie ring. No record says so.
Whatever lives in it, it keeps one bargain. When the holder pulls the stopper, the spirit grants one gift. It may be a vast store of mana. It may be a vast sum of geld. It may be a great heap of lesser works, the coreless made things of the guilds. The holder does not decide. The spirit does.
That is its hunger: a gamble, and a single one. After one unstoppering the flask is spent, and a spent relic makes no copy. Its shard waits in Tellan's keeping until the recasting. A lord who needed mana and receives geld has still spent the treasure.
Until it is opened, the flask makes its kingdom heavier in Weight, and the Law of Equals brings stronger rivals within reach.
