Summon dwarf runecaster is a calling of Pyre, the affinity of fire, destruction and war. It brings Dwarf runecaster into its caster's own kingdom.
Fire-folk are among the affinity-born peoples, native life where an affinity runs strong. Sealborn of Pyre say these are the elders of the same folk who answer Summon dwarf zealot. The warriors fight. The elders cut the marks the warriors fight under. So the elders come singly or in small numbers, and a deeper realm brings more. The calling takes several turns as well as mana, and it is weaker against the grain.
Guild artisans say the elders first answered in the Age of the First Sealborn, and not for pay. A Seal-shard is a piece of the Gate's own substance, and the newcomers woke holding them. The elders came, the story goes, to see those shards for themselves, and they have answered the call ever since.
