Mending touch is a simple battle spell of Lumen, the affinity of order, law, light and protection that Daegred, the Sunward holds. It does nothing while the fighting lasts. When the battle ends, it passes over every company the caster brought and closes their wounds. Lumen cultivators say light sets a torn body back in order.
A shard woken in Lumen mends a little even at its shallowest realm. A core of another affinity mends only as far as its realm reaches, and casting against the grain costs more, fails more easily and lands weaker. The card shows how much each realm adds.
Lumen teachers give newcomers a warning with it. Mending a body is not healing the Scar. Healing the Scar would restore the first age's renewal; a mended soldier is only mended, and the next Unsealing still comes.
A kingdom brings one battle spell to each fight. Every Turning a Sealborn must recover this one by research, and a Human lord can never cast it.
