Blessed bomb

Blessed bomb is a relic: a unique treasure that Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies preserves among the Mnemoliths at every Unsealing, one in each Turning. It holds an old piece of Covenant-stuff, the substance of the Seal-shards, bound into a made thing. Its treasure spirit answers to Wefan, the Weaver.

Its maker is unknown. Tellan names no hand, and no one can say where the shard lay before it was bound. Guild artisans say the core runs Lumen, the affinity of order and law, and that the spirit holds one judgement and waits for a single enemy to receive it.

A commander may bring a work of their own into each battle, and this relic fills that place. Before the armies close, it falls on an enemy company and destroys it whole. The holder does not decide which. The judgement finds its own target.

Its hunger is plain to see: it drinks itself. Once used, it is spent. A spent relic makes no copy, so for the rest of the Turning its shard lies back in Tellan's keeping, waiting for the recasting. The lord who throws it has traded a treasure for a single company, and must hope it was the right one.

Until then, heaven weighs it. Holding it makes a kingdom heavier in Weight, and under the Law of Equals, stronger rivals come within reach.
