Gilded diadem is a relic, one of the unique treasures Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies keeps among the Mnemoliths through every Unsealing. The golden circlet holds an old piece of Covenant-stuff, the substance of the Seal-shards, and its treasure spirit answers to Wefan, the Weaver.
No maker is recorded, and where its shard lay before is unknown. Cultivators say it was shaped in memory of Heaven's Gate, the point above the Hallow where all seven Seals join, which the Skybreaker tore. They say its core runs Lumen, the affinity of order. It is only a circlet, they admit. It closes nothing. But it is whole, and the sky is not.
Its gift is patient. While it is held, the kingdom earns more training progress toward its arts. The progress flows to the current cultivation focus as it always does, and every trained art keeps working. The diadem simply makes the practice go further. It serves a coreless lord as well as a mage, because training is not casting.
Its price shows only in what follows. Heaven weighs relics, so the diadem makes its kingdom heavier in Weight, and under the Law of Equals, stronger rivals come within reach.
