Legend blade is a relic, one of the unique treasures Tellan, the Keeper of Tallies keeps among the Mnemoliths across every Unsealing. The bright sword holds an old piece of Covenant-stuff, the substance of the Seal-shards, and its treasure spirit answers to Wefan, the Weaver.
No maker is recorded, and where its shard lay before is unknown. The Human lineages claim it in their songs. They sing that the first lord of a lineage carried it, and that the lineage will know the sword again when an heir draws it. No song agrees on which lineage. An heir inherits a lineage's name and songs from the Mnemoliths, but no property crosses the unmaking, so if the songs are true, each heir must find the sword anew. Sealborn cultivators say only that its core runs Lumen, the affinity of order and law.
Whoever carried it first, it makes an army braver. While it is held, every company in the holder's host strikes harder, in the first blow, in the follow-through and in the counter. It asks nothing of the hand that holds it. A coreless lord gains no core from it, but can bear it as well as any mage.
Its price shows only in what follows. Heaven weighs relics, so the sword makes its kingdom heavier in Weight, and under the Law of Equals, stronger rivals come within reach. A famous blade draws famous enemies.
