Brute might is a battle spell of Pyre, the affinity of fire, destruction and war. Before battle, it pours heat into the arms of every company in the caster's army. Their first blows land harder, their further blows land harder, and so do the blows they return. The gift lasts for that battle only.
The gain grows as the caster's realm deepens toward full mastery of the spell, and the card shows how far. Cast from a core of another affinity, it is weaker, because power forced against its grain curdles.
Sealborn of Pyre tie the spell to the Law of Equals. Once Daegred, the Sunward cast it, a kingdom could strike only kingdoms within reach of its own Weight. A war between equals, they say, is won by being stronger on the day, and this spell is how Pyre makes that day its own. Each side brings only one battle spell, so choosing this one means trusting the army.
