Concussion is a battle spell of Pyre, the affinity of fire, destruction and war. It deals no wound. Before battle, a great shock rolls over the enemy army, and every enemy company comes out of it dazed. For that battle, they fight less well. The daze deepens as the caster's realm deepens, and the card shows how far.
This is a spell that belongs to its own affinity. From a core of another affinity, the shock is much weaker, because power forced against its grain curdles. Like every battle spell, it must get past the ward, the resistance of its affinity and the creature's own resistance, and each side brings only one.
Sealborn of Pyre tie it to the Law of Equals. Since Daegred, the Sunward cast that law, a kingdom strikes only kingdoms near its own Weight. Between equals, they say, the side that keeps its head wins, and this spell was made to take the enemy's head away.
