A Workshop is a hall of tools, timber and labour, raised on Wilderness. It sets the pace of construction: every other building a kingdom raises goes up at the speed its halls of tools allow. A few folk live among the tools as well.
This is also where constructs are made: soldiers built rather than born, each with its own listed costs. They are Plain, like every made thing, and hold no affinity.
A Workshop is not a Guild. It does not recover spells, train arts or make lesser works; it makes walls rise and made soldiers stand.
It must be paid for. It costs geld to keep, and when a kingdom runs short of geld, its buildings are abandoned. Idle tools build nothing.
